YOUTH PROGRAM SHIFT LEAD
Vertical World has a longstanding legacy of producing the highest quality youth programs in the Region and has the reputation of being an industry leader in the category Nationwide. The Youth Program Lead (YPS) plays a crucial role in working with the Program Coordinator (PC) to uphold these standards. The position helps oversee daily activities in programs and the troubleshooting staffing challenges on various levels. It is the duty of the YPS to lead by example and help our program staff members deliver the highest level of climbing instruction and professionalism to all youth climbers. The YPS will uphold the exceptional legacy of the Vertical World youth climbing community.
Location: Seattle
Hours: 8-24. Full time requires other duties at VW
Reports to: Youth Program Coordinator
Compensation: $21 – $23 hourly
This position alone is part time but may be combined with other positions to make a full-time position. Responsibilities:
- Shift lead for programs
- Supports Program Instructors in their daily duties by:
- Answering questions
- Addressing concerns
- Being point of contact and getting questions or concerns to the PC
- Parent Complaints and criticism
- Ensure VW policies, procedures, and practices are followed
- Support Program Staffing
- Ensuring daily schedules are fully staffed
- Tracking late or missing instructors
- Informing relevant parties and finding solutions to shift needs
- Filling open shifts by subbing for classes as needed
- Assisting with skills tracking, notes, and upkeep of youth areas
- Roster Maintenance
- Ensuring all climbers on your day have CC, Waiver, Contracts, and Zero Balance
- Communicating with Instructors, Front Desk, or other parties of unique notifications, billing issues, program updates, or important information
- Assist with make-ups, wait list additions, and enrollment status maintenance
- Set up student billing configurations in RGP
- Communicates climbers missing 2+ classes to PC
- Provide and assist with staff training
- Ensure Client satisfaction
- Uphold Internal VW Compliance
- Communicate to parents and program members about special offerings, holiday schedules, and other special circumstances
- Outreach to marketing team to promote programs
- Attend camp fairs and other public outreach sources
- Assist with calendar management and newsletter
- Work front desk or other duties outside of core responsibilities
- Any task given by PC or gym management

Group Instructors teach single visit group bookings such as Birthday Parties and Rock Climbing Experiences as well as ongoing groups with the need to lesson plan and create curriculum content as well. Other instruction will include School Groups, Not For Profit Groups, and Kids Night Out, ang custom groups, all with a wide age range (children and adults) and ability of climbers. It is the duty of the Group Instructor to deliver the highest level of climbing instruction and professionalism to all youth climbers. Group Instructors uphold the exceptional legacy of the Vertical World youth climbing community.
Location: Vertical World Seattle
Hours: 2 or less hrs per week (Part Time). Weekends required.

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT AND LABORER-ENTRY LEVEL
A warehouse assistant helps prep for all jobs and material orders that come and go from the warehouse. Some duties may include climbing wall panel production, basic carpentry, light metal work, cleaning, and tool & shop maintenance. There is potential to grow within the company, and we encourage on the job learning and advancement. This is a full time position at 35 to 40 per week. After a 60-day probation period, we do offer medical and dental benefits. We enjoy working as a team, and love creating something unique.
Expectations:
- Keep the shop and tools clean
- Assist Lead Carpenters
- Assist welders
- Organize and put away tools
- Work in a physical environment all day
- Lift and carry 50-70 lbs.
- Have previous experience with basic construction
- Have knowledge of basic tools
- Work in all types of weather
$20 – $22/hr

YOGA INSTRUCTOR SUBSTITUTE

They cater to a wide range of climbers and yogis at every skill level, enhancing physical fitness and promoting mental well-being. Reports: Manager/Yoga Coordinator
Hours: Part time per class, flexibility required
Compensation: $40 per class with students, $20 per class without students

- Be punctual; early is on time. Please arrive 5-10 mins early to clock in and set up your space
- Take accurate notes of each class
- Plan classes for a balance of safety, technical skill, and a wide range of abilities
- Demonstrate the poses/techniques/modifications, etc.
- Keeping to the “style” of the class expected by the students
- Curate music for each class that fits the pace and vibe of the class (keeping words to a minimum)
- Help to keep the yoga space neat and orderly e.g., wipe down props/return to their designated space
- Dry mop before each class

Requirements:
- Have completed a 200-hr YTT
- Physically capable of practicing what you teach
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Complete onboarding
