YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Vertical World has a longstanding legacy of producing the highest quality youth programs in the Region and has the reputation of being an industry leader in the category Nationwide. The Programs Coordinator (PC) plays a crucial role in working with the Director of Programs (DoP) to uphold these standards. The position helps oversee daily activities in programs and the troubleshooting of staffing challenges on various levels. It is the duty of the PC to lead by example and help our program staff members deliver the highest level of climbing instruction and professionalism to all youth climbers. The PC will uphold the exceptional legacy of the Vertical World youth climbing community.
The Programs Coordinator (PC), in conjunction with the Regional Director of Programs (DoP), is responsible for all things in relation to programs at a VW location. It is their duty to ensure the success, growth, and necessary upkeep of programs offered.
Location: Vertical World Seattle
Hours: 32-40 hrs per week
Reports to: Director of Programs
Compensation: $25 – $34 hourly

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Program Management
- Oversee registration and roster management
- Oversee Programs billing processes
- Report Program needs to appropriate departments and leadership
- Work with DoP to create and review seasonal schedules
- Analyze and report Program trends
- Customer communications
- Create and maintain Program resources and Program areas
- Youth Program Staff Management
- Lead YP instructional and leadership staff
- Hiring of new program staff with Gym Management
- Administer Program staff trainings
- Maintain and uphold all program processes and best practices
- Schedule all Program staff
- Modify and assist in necessary schedule conflicts
- Work and cover Programs as needed
- Shadow classes
- Performance reviews with APC or Gym Management
- Give constructive feedback
- Corrective action with Gym Management
- Keep Program staff informed and updated on all pertinent information
- Collaborate with YP leadership on program resources needed and staff performance
- Attend and present at front desk staff meetings
- Collaborate in marketing needs and tactics
- Proofread marketing and website materials
- Contribute to monthly newsletters
- Uphold all Vertical Worlds general policies and practices
- Work Front Desk and any other necessary duties
- Any task assigned by Gym Management

Requirements:
- Experience with Rock Gym Pro software or ability to quickly learn new software
- Experience working with employees, youth climbers, and their families
- Wide range of climbing skills knowledge
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Must be able to reliably commute to any VW location

YOUTH PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR
Vertical World has a longstanding legacy of producing the highest quality youth programs in the Region and has the reputation of being an industry leader in the category Nationwide. Youth Program (YP) Instructors teach rock climbing classes and camps to a wide range of youth climbers enrolled in our programs. The ages range from 2 – 19. YP instructors will teach classes throughout multiple seasons within the program department; School year programs, Day Camps, Summer Camps, and more. Duties may also include group offerings like Birthday Parties and groups. It is the duty of the YP Instructor to deliver the highest level of climbing instruction and professionalism to all youth climbers. YP Instructors uphold the exceptional legacy of the Vertical World youth climbing community.
Location: Vertical World Seattle
Hours: 3 – 40 hrs per week (Part Time or Full Time)
Reports to: Youth Programs Coordinator
Compensation: $20.80 – $22 hourly
This position has the potential to combine with other duties at VW to create a full-time position

- Attend all required staff meetings and 1:1’s with supervisors
- VW Top Rope belay certified or ability to pass test
- Current First Aid certification and Safesport certification (can be completed within first 3 months of employment)
- Must work at least two programs per week
- Seasonal commitment required (school year and/or summer camp)

GROUP INSTRUCTOR
Vertical World has a longstanding legacy of producing the highest quality youth programs in the region and has the reputation of being an industry leader in the category Nationwide. Group Instructors teach single visit group bookings such as Birthday Parties and Rock Climbing Experiences as well as ongoing groups with the need to lesson plan and create curriculum content as well. Other instruction will include School Groups, Not For Profit Groups, and Kids Night Out, and custom groups, all with a wide age range (children and adults) and ability of climbers. It is the duty of the Group Instructor to deliver the highest level of climbing instruction and professionalism to all youth climbers. Group Instructors uphold the exceptional legacy of the Vertical World youth climbing community.
Location: Vertical World Seattle
Hours: 5 – 28 hrs per week (Part Time). Weekends required.
- Saturdays from 11a – 7p
- Sundays from 10a – 5p
Reports to: Groups Coordinator
Compensation: $20.80 – $22 hourly

ELEVATE ACCOUNT MANAGER
Elevate Climbing Walls is a small but growing construction company building a variety of climbing wall projects, from residential home walls to large commercial gyms. We’re looking for a highly motivated, hands-on individual to join our team who can manage multiple aspects of a project from start to finish, while also building and maintaining client relationships. Job Description:
This is an in-person position, located in Kent, WA. As an Account Manager, you’ll be one of the go-to people for managing client accounts, working with the Senior Project Manager, ensuring project stay on schedule and budget. You’ll play a role in maintaining client relationships and securing new business. This is a multi-faceted position that requires a strong balance of organizational skills, communication abilities, and a proactive attitude. As we expand and evolve, there may be times when you’ll be asked to take on tasks that are outside of your usual responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the internal team on assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including timelines, required insurance documents, budgets, and change orders.
- Collaborate with in-house sales team to identify potential leads and develop strategies to convert them into customers.
- Assist in proposal preparations, estimates, and bids for potential clients.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
Requirements:
- Experience in production or project management, in construction or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-first attitude.
- Some sales experience or a strong desire to learn and grow in a sales role.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Contractor Foreman, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A background in construction estimating or cost management is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction-related regulations and insurance compliance.
- Climbing or other outdoor industry experience.
